Our Auto-Sleepers team had an amazing day together, lots of fun, lots of mud and they raised an extraordinary amount for Cancer Research UK. Well done to all who took part!

Angela Gittus, our Purchase Ledger Supervisor who took part said:

''It all started as Mike Johnson, one of our Materials Expediters, wife, who is a survivor herself, had been asked to start the race as she has done an incredible job over the past few years in raising tens of thousands of pounds.

Amy Bird, Purchase Ledger, suggested we should get a team together. Word got around and next thing I knew I was signing 15 people up to Team Auto Sleepers. We were all happy to do this as it’s such an important cause and has touched each one of us at some time in our lives. We had great fun on the day, it was very warm so the muddy water was actually quite nice, well at times!

We made sure we all started together, the sporty people dashed off but we all met up at the last obstacle to finish the race as a team. I think it’s safe to say we will be finding mud for many days to come!''.
